These are all signs that the gut is stressed. When digestion is impaired food will not be efficiently broken down to release the nutrients to power your body. It may be that there is a food intolerance (bloating, discomfort, diarrhoea), low stomach acidity (burping after a meal, bad breath, bloating, flatulence, constipation or diarrhoea), bacterial imbalance often induced through overuse of antibiotics, excess sugar, alcohol, high levels of stress, low stomach acid, slow food transit and pharmaceutical drugs (bloating, flatulence, low energy) or parasites which love to harbour in the warmth of the gut, (bloating, flatulence, joint pain, fatigue, stomach discomfort, diahorrea).

It is essential to promote effective digestion starting with the mouth and continuing the whole length of the intestines, ensuring correct nutrient absorption and bacterial balance along the way, until finally there is healthy elimination.

A consultation helps to determine which area of the digestive system is underfunctioning and tests are available to support the diagnosis. So for instance if you have bloating, flatulence, loose stool, gut distension, low energy and brain fog, a test can clarify what is going on in the gut, for Ruth to compile an individual program to eradicate any bad bacterias and repopulate the good. Thus restoring equilibrium within the digestive system and to eleviate symptoms. See diagnostic tests.
